✦ Kirin Corp — Empire of the Seven Divisions
"Where magic meets mandate, and dreams are weaponized."
❖ Genesis of the Machine
Kirin Corp began as a coalition of survivors and scientists during the waning years of the Void War, when Death Magic had ravaged much of the world and the ley lines faltered. In the power vacuum left by fractured kingdoms and failing monarchies, a singular vision rose: to control aether through science, structure, and strength.
From a secretive citadel buried beneath the surface of the Aetherian Core, Kirin Corp grew—until it became an empire masquerading as a corporation, its reach rivaling that of entire nations.
It is now the largest centralized power in the known world, second only to the ancient institutions of Ecclesia and the Solar Kings themselves.
❖ The Seven Divisions
Kirin Corp is structured around seven specialized divisions, each acting as a limb of its ever-reaching control:
1. Mithril Sun Academy
“All light begins with discipline.”
Every citizen—noble or pauper—who enters Kirin's jurisdiction begins here. A school, a proving ground, and a sorting engine. Children are trained in aether manipulation, combat, technology, and obedience. Graduation determines one’s future within the other six divisions.
2. Task Force
The martial arm of Kirin Corp. These are the boots on the ground, cybernetic enforcers and trained soldiers who operate like a hybrid of police, military, and warden. They wear masks not for anonymity—but to remind others that Kirin's power is faceless.
3. Research and Development
Inventors, scientists, and arcane engineers work here, often fusing magic with machinery. R&D is responsible for Monolith enhancements, Aether Reactors, and forbidden Voidtech experiments. Their slogan: “We turn theory into control.”
4. Aether Works
The lifeblood of the Corp—those who study, monitor, and harvest aether from ley lines and Monoliths. This division also maintains aether refineries, soul batteries, and Kirin’s private Resonance Network—a global leyline communication system.
5. Apothecary & Agriculture
Though often overlooked, this division ensures food stability and biotic growth within Kirin zones. Through modified flora, genetically enhanced animals, and aether-infused medicine, they keep citizens alive—and docile.
6. Espionage Division
A ghost network that manipulates world affairs. Diplomats, spies, and information brokers all serve the Corp’s interests from the shadows. Most kingdoms that fell did so with a whisper from this division, not a war.
7. Devil Hunters
An elite task group formed after the resurgence of Demonic activity. These are not soldiers—they are executioners, trained in void magic, spirit sealing, and anti-aether weaponry. Many have made pacts or undergone forbidden surgeries to become walking weapons.
❖ The Twin Thrones: Bloodlines of Power
At the top of Kirin Corp sit two bloodlines:
- The Queen of Kirin bears the Nox Heim name, descended from the original founders who communed with Monoliths before they were tamed.
- The King holds the Garland bloodline, forged through conquest, political assassination, and sheer military genius.
Though titled "King" and "Queen," the roles are not marital—they are dual thrones representing the fusion of mysticism and machinery.
❖ Legacy, Control, and Heresy
Kirin Corp’s public image is one of security, advancement, and progress. To the common citizen, they are salvation made manifest—their cities are clean, their food never rots, and their soldiers never flinch.
But to the old faiths, the nomads, and those who remember the Sun before it was bottled and sold, Kirin Corp is a machine god with a bleeding mouth.
They have outlawed Void Magic, rewritten parts of the Akashic Record, and claim exclusive control over Monolith calibration. Some say they have even birthed artificial Solar Kings in secret.
